Replacing CreditKarma for credit report monitoring
It is almsot half a year that the CK website has a glitch or bug and it does not let the users to login. It asks users to go through a SMS verification, followed by providing DOB and SSN. Since they could not fix a simple thing like login after several months, I am also concerning about the way that they collect lots of personal data and whether they can protect them.
I like to review my credit reports across three credit bureaus in a weekly basis to prevent fraud or identify the credit issues early. For EX, I use the Experian website. What are the recommendations to review the credit reports from EQ/TU, to potentially migrate from CK?
PS: I do not mind about Fico/Vantage scores. Any score is fine. I only want to review my credit reports. A no fee method is preferred.
Fico8: EX~EQ~TU~810 (12 month goal~840).
BOA (CCR, UCR), Chase (CFF, CSP, Amazon, CIC, CIU), US Bank (Cash+, AR, Go, Ralphs), Discover, Citi (CCC, DC, SYW), Amex (BCP, HH, Biz Gold, BBC, BBP), Affinity CR, Cap1(Walmart), Barclay View.

Re: Replacing CreditKarma for credit report monitoring
All three bureaus have options for free access to credit reports.
Equifax provides a Vantage 3 score, and I believe the credit report is updated monthly.
Transunion does not provide any score, the report is generated upon request when you log in.

I do believe Capital One's "Credit Wise" will show you your current Transunion report/info and also includes a Vantage score.
It seems to update instantly whenever there is a change to your TU report and has options to send you notifications whenever there are changes.
The app is free and I don't think you have to be a C1 customer to use it.

can confirm, Credit Wise from cap1 will update daily and it has a pretty clean interface
you can get a full free actual report direct from TU every 24 hours:https://service.transunion.com/
for equifax, I pay the $5/month for myEquifax, which offers a daily report as well
Starting FICO 8:
Current FICO 8:
3/6, 5/12, 14/24

Re: Replacing CreditKarma for credit report monitoring
Myfico offers EQ fico 8 and report updates every month. Wallet hub is an option that is pretty much a credit karma clone. Not sure why you're having issues. I can log in no problem. Just did the other week.

I wonder if it has something to do with frozen credit reports.
I've never used CK before, and see it mentioned so often that I got curious enough and tried to sign up.
However after having major login issues, I started chatting with support, and turns out you can't use it if your credit report is frozen.
I told them I wasn't going to unfreeze my credit and they said I couldn't use CK unless I did, so I just had them delete my account.

Re: Replacing CreditKarma for credit report monitoring
Just go straight to each bureau or usewww.annualcreditreport.com to get your reports. You can pull all 3 weekly atwww.annualcreditreport.com. You always want to verifiy from the "truth of source" and not 3rd party agrigators. Credit Karma can be screwy and unreliable anyway. They had a data merge issue for my equifax report just yesterday and their data was not in line with what equifax was showing in their report.

Several users had issues with CK login in the past months (one example is below). If their system design is like "Ali Baba's cave" , I have also concerns on data protection and the other things in the services that they should provide to customers.

Re: Replacing CreditKarma for credit report monitoring
The best ways to get "comprehensive credit reports" without fee are possibly via Experian and Trueidentity (TU, daily update).
I am looking for similar reports for EQ.
PS: The Cap1 does not give comprehensive credit report (I want to check the balance on each CC). The AnnualCreditReport website needs lots of forms with SSN. I do prefer to avoid filling such forms.
