Nothing Phone (3) leaked? All information at a glance
There are indications that Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, may have revealed the design of the Nothing Phone (3). In a recent post on Platform X, Pei shared screenshots of a redesigned menu for Nothing OS 3.0. Although the focus was on the software changes, eagle-eyed users noticed a new button on the side of the pictured device.

This additional button is located just below the power button and is smaller than the other buttons. Its exact function is still unclear, but speculations range from a customizable action button, similar to the ones on the latest iPhone models, to a dedicated button for artificial intelligence, possibly to activate ChatGPT Voice. Another theory is that it is a slider, similar to OnePlus' Alert Slider, which was introduced during Pei's time at OnePlus.
These new design elements could be a smart move to increase interest in the upcoming device. The possible leak comes just months before the expected launch of the Nothing Phone (3). While official details are still pending, the hints so far have already caused a lot of excitement and further fueled anticipation for the brand's next flagship.
Nothing Phone 2 heavily reduced: another clue?
The Nothing Phone (2) is currently on sale, which could be seen as another indication of the upcoming release of the Nothing Phone (3). The Nothing Phone (2) has 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that promises high performance and efficient thermal management.

While the leaks and speculations surrounding the Nothing Phone (3) are generating a lot of excitement, it is important to maintain a critical perspective. The alleged leak by CEO Carl Pei could just as easily be a deliberate marketing maneuver to build anticipation for the new model. The actual function of the new side button remains unclear and may ultimately prove to be less revolutionary than hoped. In addition, the Nothing Phone (3) will likely launch with a higher price tag, which could make it less attractive to some potential buyers.
