Frank D After watching seven seasons of excellent storytelling, character development and acting this reboot was a complete disaster. What happened to Rory's character? She was a sad, pathetic mess. A Yale graduate she should have been on top of the world. Instead, she moved back home, gets a menial job in her hometown and gets involved with her engaged X. Then she ends up getting pregnant. What were the writers thinking? It was terrible. Such a disappointment. Rory turned into such a weak, desperate character who acts like a self centered brat. The original show light, fun, pretty neutral minus the occasional moment. But this is steeped in destructive ideology that you can see in essentially every character's arc. And they're all worse off people because of it.
